This is the second enamel paint I've used from Paragon and the first time brushing it on. Colour is spot on, good pricing and quick delivery.

Advantages: Goes on nice, brush marks disappear leaving a smooth uniformed finish. Can't comment on durability.

Disadvantages: Ordered 500ml for a No6 vice and I've used maybe 150ml...

I have bought many Paragon paints because the quality is second to none and the colour is always spot on.

Advantages: Totally reliable in both colour, quality and application.

Disadvantages: None

Having painted a sample of the paint upon a test piece I can vouch that the paint brushes nicely, and levels out to leave a uniform flat coating. The pigment content is very good that even after one coat the colour density is solid. - Nice Paint :)

I haven't tried the paints yet. They are for use with my kit built Roundhouse steam locomotive.

Disadvantages: Your paint represents excellent value for money. I would be interested in trying some of your paints for brush painting my coaches. Unfortunately (?) I would have to buy a minimum of 500 ml. I don't think I'm likely to live long enough to use this amount! Have you ever considered selling paint in smaller tins?

Lovely paint two brushed coats and lovely deep shine.

Advantages: Very easy to apply with excellent results.

Disadvantages: Can’t think of any!!

Excellent coverage in just two coats on my dads old Mamod TE1 boiler. Seems to have a very high solid pigment content but brushes on and levels very well without the need for thinning.

Advantages: Touch dry much faster than expected and provided a smooth, high gloss finish even with my clumsy application.

Disadvantages: None that I can think of. The product was a pleasure to work with.

Not in fact purchased for a static engine but for a steam engine. I have looked for months for the right colour and heat resistance and bingo Paragon came up trumps!

Advantages: Can be sprayed or brushed with a long curing time so mistakes can be rectified easily. For lining and brushing it comes at the right consistency. All round good product.

Disadvantages: None that I can see.

The Mist green paint is an exact match to what was the original BSA paint on the Bantam being restored. Well pleased!

RAL 3005 Wine red is the colour used on late model Harrison lathe splash guards. M250 M350 etc. The later Harrison lathes main colour after 1995 is Colchester Lathe ASH GREY which is actually a cream colour, not the earlier Harrison goose grey, which is actually light grey.

Delighted with my recent purchase of Paragon paint. It is my first purchase from the company and based upon my experience of both purchasing and the product itself I can certainly recommend it to others and will be buying again.

Advantages: Easy and reliable transaction to buy. Huge range of colours. Good value. Very securely packed for shipping. Paint flows and covers well. Even when brush applied the finish levels nicely and any paint running is easily controlled. Very quick to reach touch-dry point but not to the degree of affecting working time. Cleaning brushes afterwards seems much easier than with other oil based paints.

Disadvantages: Not aware of any disadvantages, unlike many paints I have experience of.
