Easy to order and in the paint delivery type required eg: Spray cans, tins etc. These are superb paints, cover well and produce a good, hard wearing surface very easily. It made a restoration of my Allen Scythe much easier. The finish was so good, my friend asked who had painted them, cheeky beggar!

I have found this machinery paint to be excellent in covering my machines and rejuvenating them, returning them back to their original colour

Advantages: Easy brush on and work with great serf ice tensioning to take out the brush strokes and leave a quality surface finish that is easy to clean

I am not in the habit of reviewing items bought via the net. Much of this is of little utility. Paragon Paints however are a special case. Paragon manufacture colour mathced paints for obsolete machines. I have previously used their enamel for my Lister D stationary engine. Currently I am working on a Drummond model B lathe which happened to be conveniently made in black.
Paragon's paints cover will are relatively opaque and the brush strokes fall out beautifully to leave a good smooth gloss finish which is perfect for old machinery that needs some love.

A very nice Startrite colour match, nice spray cans and good coverage.

Advantages: Very good coverage and a nice finish.

Disadvantages: Not the greatest "Hammer" effect, Tried it in thin layers then tried thicker. It looked like the efect would be there but it just kind of faded away. Would love to hear your tips on acheiving the best hammered finish. Agitatated the cans for a long long time.

Delivery was prompt with good communication. Price was the best I could find. Excellent paint with good covering characteristics.
Stirred well and added a % of white enamel to match weathered marine blue of my old Series 3.

Advantages: Only needed for small sections so after sanding, filling and rust treating/priming, I used a soft brush to apply with good coverage and a pretty good match.

Disadvantages: None with the paint but a shame so much bubble wrap is used in the box to protect it. Personally, I would be just as happy with screwed up news paper. Easier to recycle. Apart from this, excellent service and product.

Fobco Drill Press Cream Paint.

Quality paint, well packed, lots of communication, quick to post.

Advantages: Great coverage, good filling properties, a good depth of colour. A lovely quality of product.

Disadvantages: From my perspective as a steam model maker - not for use with a airbrush,
I often only need 100ml (at most) of paint, but the minimum order quantity is 500ml, the amount unused makes this a very expensive choice for me.

Like paint stripper used to be, actually works.

Advantages: Works on pretty much all paints including powder paints.

Disadvantages: Need to take care, glove up and protect eyes.

Good paint, applies really nicely.

Advantages: Re-coat within 30 minutes when spraying, I coated a cylinder head 4 times in 1 evening with great results.

Disadvantages: The tin only has generic instruction on, if you look at the website it gives correct application instructions and cure times etc.

I have used paragon paints for some time now for many uses from the garden swing to model steam engines. Never had a problem with these paints.

Advantages: The advantage is that I cannot find a disadvantage!

Second time using Paragon paints. Half way through a job and the other paint suppliers colour is no longer available!! Spoke to paragon and went for their mid blue hammer finish? Bloody perfect and so finished my job off a treat! Excellent paint to spray and brush on. First class service many thanks and much recommended.
