Paragon Hammered Finish - Startrite Green

An excellent paint. Indistinguishable from the original Startrite finish

Advantages: Easy to apply, by brush in my case. Covers well and dries quite quickly in readiness for a second/third coat as required..
Easier to get an even finish by brush than that other well known hammered paint. No evidence of brush strokes when dry.
Overall, it is an easy to use paint that matches the original and provides a durable finish.

Disadvantages: None that come to mind.

Great finish, sprayed really well would have been better if my spray gun hadn’t malfunctioned half way. Really happy with colour and dried really quick.

Advantages: Quick Perfect colour.

Disadvantages: Needs a bit of care to apply but nothing special

Bought this paint to tidy up my old Startrite bandsaw. The paint match is almost perfect and the hammered effect just like the original. So good is the paint that you can touch it in where needed and unless you know where you're looking, it just blends in. Very happy with the results and the delivery was quick too.

Advantages: Colour match, hammered finish match and quick delivery.

Disadvantages: None !

Just what I had been looking for to refinish a Unimat lathe

Advantages: It covered well

This paint goes on beautifully and dries to a perfect hammered finish. Knocks the " other" hammered paint into a clocked hat.

Advantages: Goes on well, quick drying.

Disadvantages: None come to mind.

Very well packaged, and colour looks perfect.

Advantages: It's for my Brierley ZB 32, in the process of tidying it up, and wanted similar colour again.

Good colour, gives a nice looking finish.

Awesome paint very easy to apply and dries very quickly. A perfect colour match.

Advantages: Fast drying goes a long way and looks great just as good as the original.

Disadvantages: Nothing with the product or the service,my only gripe is that the postage is a bit pricey. But having said that I will have no hesitation in buying the paint again and would 100 percent recommend this paint and supplier.

A very nice Startrite colour match, nice spray cans and good coverage.

Advantages: Very good coverage and a nice finish.

Disadvantages: Not the greatest "Hammer" effect, Tried it in thin layers then tried thicker. It looked like the efect would be there but it just kind of faded away. Would love to hear your tips on acheiving the best hammered finish. Agitatated the cans for a long long time.

After calling to enquire about the quality, which I was assured would be ‘superior’ to any Hammerite equivalent I purchased this paint.

Goes on nice and good colour, hardly any hammer affect though. Brush applied.

This paint was delivered within a couple of days of my ordering it packaging perfectly adequate for this sort of product, it is exactly the correct colour that i was hoping it would be for restoring the paint work on some of my power tools, many thanks!

This was a good colour match for the Emco SL Modelling Lathe that I wanted. A bit disappointed by the very mild Hammer Finish resulting from brush application. I had hoped for something more pronounced. May try Spray version seeing as the colour was close.

Advantages: Good consistency, even for brush application. Colour close to what I needed and close to the Online colour chart

Disadvantages: Hammer effect not as pronounced as I would have liked.
