I needed some paint to match some 40 year old tool cases. This was the perfect match.

Arrived on time and, as with the rest of the Paragon range, it’s quite easy to use. I found it better to thin about 20% with HVLP to achieve a noticeable hammer finish. Colour shade a little brighter than the online picture.
Advantages: Easy to use and a durable finish with good coverage of less than perfect preparation.
Disadvantages: Unusual response to flatting with wet and dry. I found that dry fine aloe produced better results.

I was looking for a replacement for Hammerite light blue which they no longer make. The Paragon version is lighter and appeared not to have as obvious a hammer effect as the Hammerite, however I haven't used it on a good smooth surface so may not have given it a fair trial. It dries quickly and appears fairly tough.
Advantages: Covered old paint and bare metal very well with one coat.
Disadvantages: High postage cost if buying just one can.

This is nice paint which covers well with a compressed air spray gun. The shade of light blue is very pleasing. I'm using it for a car dashboard which is now looking awesome. I also tried it on an electric guitar body too, but the effect isn't quite right for that particular item. That's not a fault of the paint it's just that a hammered finish suits some things better than others.
Advantages: The hammered effect when sprayed with a compressed air spray gun is very effective and would disguise an imperfect surface well, although I haven't yet seen the final effect after lacquering.
Disadvantages: The hammered texture is nice to the touch, but if you want a smooth finish it's probably not the paint to use.

Quick delivery, well packaged and good price. Stunning range of colours.
Advantages: I'm not an expert but the Pragon hammer paint was pleasant to use and easy to get a nice even finish.
Disadvantages: Too early to say

Quality product, far superior to the leading brand of hammer finishes.
Advantages: I hate using hammer finish but it was the original finish on my Maximat machine. This paint is a close match and fairly easy to apply.
Disadvantages: It's hammer finish!
