Paragon Anti Corrosive Zinc Phosphate Grey Primer

This paint is magic! Easy to achieve a good finish using a brush and dries to a nice finish.

Advantages: Easy to use. Fast delivery.

Disadvantages: None that i have found.

Very good

Goes on nicely. Brushes easy to clean with white spirit and soapy water. Whether the two coats will stand the test of time, we'll have to see. Should I ever need to apply another coat, I'll have plenty left in the pot.

Old school at its finest, this primer is superb, flow and levelling are first class, a joy to apply.

Advantages: Very easy to apply and provides a fantastic base for the finish enamel coat.

Disadvantages: Nothing

It is the first time using this paint. The primer is brilliant fills loads of holes and marks in cast iron casings. It applies very easily and settles well from the brush. I find thinning the primmer slightly and applying several coats works well. I am equally satisfied with the top coat enamel.

Very easy to use if you spray, used this as my main primer on Myford castings, went on a treat with a light scotch brite cut back between the 3 light coats I applied. Thinned with the synthetic thinner a bit more than the manufacturer recommended but put light coats on which was OK.

Advantages: Easy to use when spraying

Disadvantages: Wife did not like the smell of the thinners wafting through the garage to the house so make sure you wait till the other halfs out before starting up the compressor!

Good stuff, easy to apply and good priming / coverage.

Dries a good bit darker than it looks in the tin which was no bad thing in my case as the enamel I was applying afterwards was a similar colour! So drying darker made it easier to see.

Great paint, great service! Ordered the paint Monday lunch time and it arrived Wednesday lunch time.

Advantages: Tough paint with good adhesive qualities.

Disadvantages: Drying time, having to use thinners for clean up. But you can't have every thing.

Good primer that fills small imperfections. Flows out very nice.

Advantages: A second coat can be applied within 30 minutes of the first when applied by spray.

I used this as base for an enamel top coat. Quite thick but can be thinned, easy to apply and covers small scratches and defects well. Dry’s quickly and sanded well with wet and dry paper.

Advantages: Good for building layers on slight imperfections.

Disadvantages: None found as yet. Does what it says on the tin.
