Covid-19

Current status - Business as usual albeit with possible delays.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak we have had to implement a range of essential precautions in order to minimise risks to our staff, customers, suppliers and the general public. These precautions are also designed to minimise disruption wherever possible and ensure we give the best service we possibly can during this difficult time.

We are advising customers that orders are being manufactured as fast as we can however, please expect delays of 3-5 working days.

The key changes to our activities are:

Visitors:- Stationary Engine Parts / Paragon Paints will be closed to on site visitors until further notice.

Customer Support:- Potential staff shortages mean that we may need to reduce our capacity for answering sales enquiries, technical and warranty queries. It is possible that telephone lines may occasionally be unanswered during these periods. If you cannot reach us by telephone please send an email from the contact us section of the website.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. As you will appreciate, our primary concern is for the safety of our customers, members of staff, suppliers and the general public. We are monitoring the coronavirus situation closely and following the UK government’s guidelines to ensure we act quickly and responsibly to minimise risks. All of us at Stationary Engine Parts / Paragon Paints hope you stay safe and healthy during these uncertain and difficult times.

Royal Mail Update 9/7/2020

Open and delivering for the country

As a key part of UK’s infrastructure, Royal Mail remains open for business. The delivery of parcels and letters is a way of keeping the country together, businesses operating, and helping many people who may not have the option to leave their homes.

Here you'll find all the relevant details about our service. We’ve also added useful links to tools that may help you stay connected while you’re at home, and different ways in which you can stay up to date with Royal Mail, like our service updates page.

We continue to work hard to collect, process and deliver the UK’s mail in unprecedented times. However, along with other organisations, we are experiencing increased levels of employee absence due to illness and self-isolation. Absence rates are currently significantly higher than what we normally expect at this time of year.

To manage these severe absence levels, we are implementing a range of mitigations. These include changing the time guarantee on Special Delivery and deploying non-operational managers in delivery.

Our delivery operation is a key part of keeping the country moving. So, we have chosen not to avail of the UK Government’s furlough scheme, except in some very limited circumstances. In fact, we have put even more resources in to keep delivering. This includes additional overtime provision and a very significant investment in protective equipment for our colleagues.

We thank you for your support and patience.
